Remote Sleep Scorer (RPSGT) – Contract Position

MySleepScoring.com is seeking experienced and detail-oriented Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGTs) to provide high-quality remote sleep study scoring services for sleep laboratories, hospitals, physician practices, and academic programs throughout the United States.
This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity with flexible scheduling and the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the United States.
Position Summary
The Remote Sleep Scorer is responsible for accurately scoring and analyzing sleep studies in accordance with current American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines while maintaining strict quality standards and turnaround times.
Candidates must demonstrate strong knowledge of sleep medicine, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Score and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies according to current AASM standards
- Review and score:
- In-Lab Polysomnography (PSG)
- CPAP Titration Studies
- BiPAP & Advanced PAP Titrations
- Split-Night Studies
- Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT/HST)
- MSLT and MWT studies (preferred)
- Pediatric studies (preferred)
- Identify respiratory events, arousals, limb movements, cardiac events, and sleep stages
Ensure scoring accuracy and consistency - Meet established turnaround time requirements
- Communicate professionally with clinical staff when clarification is required
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Current RPSGT credential
- Minimum 2 years of sleep scoring experience
- Strong understanding of current AASM Scoring Manual guidelines
- Experience scoring adult sleep studies
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
Preferred
- Experience scoring pediatric studies
- Experience with MSLT and MWT
- Experience with advanced PAP modalities:
- BiPAP-ST
- ASV
- AVAPS
- Experience with multiple sleep software platforms
Preferred Software Experience
Experience with one or more of the following systems is preferred:
- Natus SleepWorks
- Alice 6 / G3
- Cadwell
- Nihon Kohden
- Nox
- SOMNOmedics
- EnsoSleep
- Somnoware
